| Five to Try // Gingham |
Gingham. Gingham. Gingham.
You guys, it is absolutely everywhere (in stores and in my closet haha). You may have noticed yourself that this picnic-inspired print is popping up in all different colors, shapes, and sizes. I have personally been on my own gingham kick lately. While I was searching for something to wear the other day, I noticed that I now own a piece in almost every single color. I just need something in green and in purple and I will have officially completed the gingham rainbow! Not only does this fun print SCREAM summer, but it has been transformed in to pieces that could be incorporated in to anyone’s wardrobe. Go ahead and continue to read below to see some of my top picks in this pattern right now!
MANGO Check Blouse: If you are just trying to dip your toe in to this trend, then this is the top for you! Not only is the print in a classic black and white coloring, but it is also a pretty simple silhouette. The of-the-shoulder neckline and breezy top makes it easy for virtually any body type to wear. This specific piece will also keep you nice and cool during the warm summer months and will give you a chance to tan those shoulders!
ANTHROPOLOGIE Halter Top: How cute is this little number!? I have had a thing for this neckline lately – it is so incredibly feminine and delicate. The soft details compliment the halter top well and the raw edges make everything look so effortless. I also love the coloring of this piece – I have yet to see another one like it! The soft olive color makes this printed top stand out, but it is still neutral enough to not be in-your-face. Throw this top on with a pair of white skinny jeans, and you are all set for a go-to summer outfit.
ASOS Beach Wrap Dress: There is nothing better than an easy breezy summer dress. The over-sized print adds a fun touch and the wrap-dress silhouette is extremely flattering on every body type! This dress is a no-brainer when it comes to getting the perfect piece in the must-have summer print.
SHEIN Asymetrical Wrap Frill Skirt: There is a skirt that I bought from ASOS here that is almost identical to this, but this skirt is almost half the price! The red and white coloring may make you feel like a walking picnic table…but at least you will be a cute walking picnic table :) My favorite way to style this piece is exactly as pictured – with a fun graphic tee, some great white sneakers, and my favorite denim jacket!
URBAN OUTFITTERS Recycled Pieced Midi Dress: Two of my favorite things are color-blocking and this print, so when I saw this dress, I just about fell the the floor. There is something so effortlessly chic about this piece. This may be one of the most daring pieces out of my picks, but it might be my favorite one of them all.
